Vegetable Juice

A nutritious diet must contain a good range of fruits and vegetables. This tasty vegetable juice recipe will help supply the meat-a-holics with some nutritional support in their diet. It is good for vegans who want to abstain from meat and animal by-products as well.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of kale leaves
  • 1 stalk of celery
  • ½ of white onion
  • 1 medium-sized carrot
  • 1 cup of brussel sprouts
  • ½ cup of broccoli florets
  • ½ cup of cauliflower florets
  • ½ teaspoon of garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon of ginger powder
  • ½ teaspoon of salt
  • ½ teaspoon of potassium salt
  • ¼ teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • 2 cups of white vinegar
  • 2 cups of water

Directions

Steam the brussel sprouts for about 10 to 15 minutes. When they are tender, they are done. Chop up the carrot, stick of celery, and the onion.

Put the brussels sprouts, celery, carrot, onion, cauliflower, kale, and and broccoli into a blender or large food processor.

Sprinkle the salt, potassium salt, black pepper, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, and ginger onto the vegetables. Pour the vinegar and water into the blender or food processor.

Potassium is an essential mineral that belongs in our diet. So, I included a sprinkling of potassium salt into this recipe. Potassium salt is sold in the grocery stores as No Salt.

Put the lid on the blender or food processor and blend the vegetables and liquids together with the spices until the contents are fully liquefied.

Pour the vegetable juice into a pitcher. Drink a glass and enjoy! Keep the unused portions refrigerated.
